I purchased this book because I am an Audie Murphy fan and it contained a story about him. I was not disappointed. This is a delightful read that is full of stories I had not heard before. Completely entertaining. Really enjoyed it.
If you're a Batfan you'll love this book! Johnny's recollections of doing Batman & Robin make exciting reading. He speaks fondly of his costar Robert Lowery too. But there's so much more to John Duncan's life career than this. From his childhood days in Missouri to how he began in show business is an excellent story itself. Johnny Duncan also played in 4 East Side Kids movies during the early 1940's. He also appeared in several westerns with Roy Rogers Gene Autry Audie Murphy & others too. Don't forget Johnny also did movies with stars like Humphrey Bogart Marlon Brando & Lee Marvin. He also talks about how Marlon Brando almost quit the film industry after The Wild One. Brando thought the movie sent the wrong message to teenagers at the time. He also saw how their attitudes reflected later on & he didn't like it a bit. If you're like me you can't put this book down until you read it all!
